Definitely! Houses can be made of lots of things. Wood is very common in places where houses need to be rebuilt regularly i.e. after hurricanes/floods. In South Africa, a lot of poor people build their houses out of aluminium and corrugates iron sheets – these aren’t great building materials for keeping heat/cold in and out, they look like this: . I’ve also seen people build houses out of earth and when I was travelling around South Africa I helped some local people make houses with cow dung – not a nice job, but it makes good houses!
