• Question: How was the earth made?

      The Earth and the whole Solar System (including the sun) started out as a big, rotating cloud of elemental dust and atoms in the Milky Way. The cloud started to collapse in on itself and got denser and denser in the middle, until eventually it got so dense and hot that it formed the Sun. The remaining dust was shaped like a big rotating disk surrounding the Sun, and eventually parts of that gathered together and formed the planets, including Earth.
