• Question: what happens to blood that you get taken at a blood test?

      They take the blood and send it off to a lab to do a range of tests on it. Normally they will remove all the red blood cells, and you’re left with something called serum which is a yellowy liquid. you can then do measure how much of things like iron, hormones and proteins are in it which can tell you what’s wrong with the patient.
