• Question: what technology is needed to make a robot almost human

      I think the main part would be inventing something that could learn, create it’s own thoughts and experience emotions. This is a very hard thing to try and create though, it would need very high powered computers and probably more programming knowledge than we currently have! It would be very cool though, like Battlestar Galactica come to life (my favourite TV series!).

      They recently built a bionic man out of all the top technology we’ve invented for replacing human limbs and organs.. its amazing! Its got an eye, a heart, a pancreas, leg and arms etc. I went and saw it in the science museum in London a couple of weeks ago and there’s a program about it too on channel 4 (4oD). It won’t be long before they can add everything they know about human behaviour to make it move like a human I think. But they still don’t know how to make a robot have imagination…
