Question: Did you see any Orang-utans?

Yes I worked on an orangutan health project when I was 19 just after I left school. It was in Sumatra and we were doing surveys through the jungle to count their nests and collect their poo to see what they’d been eating (cos apparently they know what jungle plants to eat if they get sick or have a parasite). I saw a few while I was there and it was amazing. The best experience was seeing a female with a baby and a juvenile together. Normally they’re solitary but young females stay with their mothers until they’ve learned how to raise a baby by watching the mother with the next baby.
