Possibly. the problem is that most of the nearby planets aren’t very good for us so we won’t be able to just walk around outside. There is lots of research though on how we can build places where we can survive continuously, by growing plants to make oxygen and recycling everything. They are currently building a tester station in a desert somewhere to see if people can survive completely independently for a year!

A big problem is getting to another planet. Even the nearby ones that might have some potential if you could build a life support system – i.e. Mars, are still quite faraway, so transporting lots of building materials and people would take a long time. NASA have recently announced some research being done on fast space travel though (like you see in Star Wars and Star Trek!) so maybe in the future this won’t be so much of a problem!
