      Evolution is a process where some random variations are more successful than others so they continue and the others die-off. If a bird has kids and they all have different length beaks by chance then perhaps the one with the longest beak can get at more food so is more likely to be successful in terms of having kids of its own which are more likely to have longer beaks and so on…
