DNA is the code for building a body. The DNA from the sperm of the father will decide whether the baby will be male or female. The code tells certain proteins to be made in cells and it tells cells to produce chemical messengers called hormones. All human bodies start with a female structure but if the DNA tells the body to start producing the male hormone testosterone then the female parts will start to change into male parts.
