There is currently no proof that parallel universes exist but several new physics theories as to how the universe works say that there must be.
These theories often refer to the ‘Multiverse’, which contains all possible versions of our universe. If this is true then there is a universe out there where everything is exactly the same but you have a red pencil case instead of blue, or where everything is so completely different that life never developed on Earth and so we aren’t even around at all!
Currently, we have absolutely no way of proving that these other universes exist. We don’t even fully understand how our own universe works (well, our ideas are constantly changing as more evidence is discovered).
