Our cells have a ‘blue print’ in them which tells them what a fully grown person should be like. Once we’ve reached the size specified by our ‘blue print’, we stop growing, which is a shame because I’d like to be a bit taller!

I’m pretty small too! But being small has its advantages! Like people always like to pick you up when you go to concerts 😀 Your body has the choice to devote its resources to growth or to reproduction, after its grown enough your body starts to devote more energy towards reproduction (ie after puberty).
