  Actually the number ‘pi’ is named after the Greek letter pi, not the food 🙁 But if I think about it, it’s quite cool that they sound the same. Although I don’t think the food is named after the number, you could work out the area and volume of your pie using the number pi!

Question: why is number pie called pie like the food?
