      The reason why we have different time zones in different countries is because they are on different points on the earths surface. That means that if it’s midday in country it, would be dark in a country on the opposite side of the planet as it would be shaded from the sun. We could all use the same time, but it’s helpful to say that it gets light at the same time in each place, so we change the clock as we go around the world so that we all start work at 9am and finish at 5pm.
