• Question: Will it be possible to breath underwater in the future?

      You kind of already can – if you learn to scuba dive! But not without equipment and I don’t think we’d be able to surgically adapt our lungs very easily!!!

      Sometimes I scuba dive for my work and you carry a tank of pressurized air that you breathe through a tube underwater. You can also get equipment called a ‘rebreather’ that recycles the air you breathe out by absorbing the carbon dioxide and topping it up with oxygen so you don’t have to carry around a big tank that could run out. You can stay underwater much longer with a rebreather.
